Trenitalia, rescheduling regional trains in Lazio

Regional connections in Lazio are being rescheduled due to a reduced availability of trains because of extraordinary maintenance work required on certain trains.

These operations proved necessary following abnormal wear on the wheel flanges, the causes of which are being investigated jointly by Trenitalia and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana as quickly as possible, so that any necessary action can be immediately taken.

In any case, the two FS Group companies have already taken steps to implement certain technical measures to reduce this wear.

The inevitable reshaping of the offer shall reduce impact on customers and will be instrumental in ensuring reliable and efficient rail traffic. To limit the impact on passengers, Trenitalia has arranged for a replacement bus service on certain routes.
